Obama's Back to School Speech

As you may or may not know, President Obama recently made a speech to students all over the United States about not quitting school and working hard to achieve your goals. It seems like quite a harmless speech that many past presidents have made before, yet there is a lot of controversy about this speech. People believe that the President is trying to indoctrinate the children with his political agenda. Also, some schools criticized the lesson plans provided by whitehouse.gov because they "compelled students to always do what the president says without question". The speech was made on Tuesday, September 8 with a live audience at Wakefield High school in Virginia. I personally think that there wasn't anything wrong with his speech. I read the transcript, and I couldn't see any "hidden agenda" and all he was saying was don't quit school and fight through hardships because you are the future of America. I think this controversy is just stupid Republicans trying to stir up some trouble. By the way, no offense to any Republicans out there. I kind of get fired up with this political stuff sometimes.
